Change the Paradigm

Cue the suspenseful music. Get the misleading headlines and the black and white close-ups ready. We’re gearing up for the general election. There is no doubt that the main message of the campaigns of both the Democrats and the Republicans will be how electing the other candidate will be an apocalyptic disaster. This negativity and muckraking will be blasted on every media outlet. Social media will be cluttered with anti-Hillary and anti-Trump memes. This madness must stop. We’re sending the wrong message to our children. We should not allow this behavior to continue. We need to stop reinforcing it with our votes

While Coders for Liberty is non-partisan and would rather not engage in politics, we cannot just stand by and watch the inappropriate behavior displayed by the two major parties and not do anything about it. While it is easier to point the finger at the two major parties and the media, we all need to take responsibility for our actions. By continuing to vote for the two major parties, we are reinforcing the negative behavior they display. When we allow candidates running for the highest elected position in the country to engage in this behavior without repercussions, what message are we sending to our children? We simply cannot allow this to continue. We need to alter the environment that creates this behavior. We need to change our way of thinking. We cannot afford to continue to vote for the lesser of two evils. That is why Coders for Liberty has started a petition demanding that voters vote third party to end the negative spiral of negative ads and muckraking.
